Responsibilities undertaken:• Responsible for overall project cost control and contract management.• Performs accurate and timely costing of architectural, structural and civil works through cost derivation and worksheets.• Solicits and evaluates quotations for architectural, structural, and civil works from supplier and subcontractors for costing purposes.• Coordinates with the Consultant Team and Construction Manager during the pre-bid conference and the series of clarificatory meetings to ensure that estimates and costing are based on the prescribed scope of works and to be able to submit accurate, timely and competitive bid.• Confers with the suppliers/subcontractors regarding tradeworks that they are going to be subcontracted.• Conducts thorough check regarding estimates and quantity take off.• Interpret bid plans and bid specification.• Prepares technical and commercial proposals.

Philippines

Responsibilities undertaken:Pre Contract• Prepares quantity take-off by using take-off guidelines of various structures.• Outsource prices to subcontractors / suppliers vital to the pricing of the bid and prepares Request for Quotation with complete information and issues bid documents with specified submission date.• Evaluates subcontractors / suppliers quotation and select the most competitive and complying cost proposal.• Attends pre-bid meetings and conducts site inspection.• Prepares the required submittals to ensure completion of the bid package.Post Contract• Assists in the management on the overall project activities to ensure that the requirements are in conformity with the Contract and work specifications.• Monitors cost control and productivity analysis to maintain profitability of the project, measures and records quantities of work for costing purposes, including risk items and excess quantity or waste.• Prepares analysis on the actual progress of the project and costing in comparable with the original projection.• Reviews and validates request on the purchases of materials needed and checks on the budget allocation.• Solicits and evaluates quotations for architectural, structural and civil works from suppliers and sub-contractors for costing purposes and recommends approval prior to the preparation of Subcontract Agreement.• Initiates queries to the Structural and Architectural Designers on the non-conformity with the plans and specifications through RFI’s.• Attends to Cost Consultant as to changes in the contract i.e. alterations, additional works, if any, and prepares submittals for immediate approval and implementation.• Handles the preparation of progress accomplishment report both for management and Client requirement.• Prepares reports on actual cost and productivity analysis and analyses project budget on a periodic basis.• Prepares turnover closeout documents and secures acceptance of the project.
