As a consultant at RivasWorks LLC, I leverage my 30+ years of experience in non-profit and higher education leadership to provide strategic guidance, program development, and capacity building for organizations serving low-income, at-risk youth. I have a deep interest and commitment to supporting first-generation professionals and have a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC and a Master of Public Administration from CSU-East Bay. My dissertation and current research efforts focus on first-generation professionals' career preparation and support.My core competencies include non-profit management, fundraising, board management, budget management, staff recruitment, training and supervision, grant writing, program evaluation, and college access services. I also have expertise in public school partnerships, bilingual education, and workshop facilitation. My mission is to empower students, communities, and organizations to achieve their educational and career goals through innovative and impactful programs and services.
