Coordinating country-wide soil fertility survey/mapping and fertilizer recommendation for six dominant crops in Ethiopia (July – December 2012)3. Coordinating smallholder soil testing and SMS fertilizer recommendation project (Daktari wa Udongo) in Kenya4. Advising farmers on prudent soil fertility and plant nutrient management strategies in line with soil, plant and water testing results5. Assisting in designing, establishment and management of adaptive trials and demonstration trials for farmers6. Training field agronomists and extension staff from different institutions on soil fertility management - soil survey, sampling and analysis, interpreting soil test results and fertilizer recommendations7. Liaising and mobilizing other players involved in soil fertility management including field agronomists, extension workers, input suppliers and agro-dealers to ensure that smallholder farmers understand and implement soil corrections and fertilizer recommendations8. Organizing field days, stakeholders workshops and trainings9. Providing technical advice to soil fertility survey/mapping projects10. Supporting field data collection, processing, analysis and compilation of progress and technical reports
