Jose Sosa is a Panamanian Architect, and Certified Passive House Consultant with more than 15 years of experience. Jose has extensive experience in High-Performance construction; particularly on windows, doors and façade systems for High-Performance Buildings. Jose’s skill set includes Project Management, extensive CAD experience, 3D modeling, energy modeling, bioclimatic architecture and design, sun study and lighting design. Through the use of this skills he has been successful in bringing sustainability and efficiency to projects across disciplines. Bio. He began studies in Civil Engineering at the Universidad Tecnologica de Panama (UTP), and later changing to Structural Architecture at USMA Panama where his studies as civil engineer helped him tie together structure and space planning in buildings. Jose is a licensed architect in Panama, he worked on different projects both big and small, allowing him to get familiar with fast paced job site, and highly complicated logistical challenges.In 2014 Jose moved to New York City and started a MS in Sustainability at CUNY, the City College of New York where he graduated in 2015. In 2018, he got certified as a Passive House consultant. During his time in NYC Jose worked with high-end architecture firms, grew the market for High-performance European windows and doors manufacturer, served as Board member for New York Passive house, and created many connections in the Design and Construction industry - among others around the world. At the end of 2022, Jose moved to London, U.K where he is currently based.
