This feedback helps us both celebrate and create steps to address opportunities for improvement at the district, building and departmental levels. *Oversees district community partnerships including serving on boards like Care to Learn and the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce.*Organizes special events and campaigns (Bond issues, All Employee Meeting, Annual Giving Campaign, fundraisers for local non-profits, etc.) *Coordinates the district’s Internal Philanthropic Group committee helping our internal non-profits collaborate to meet student and family needs.

*Official "storyteller" for the Republic School District (Approx. 5000 students and 800 employees) through the use of strategic communication planning and implementation at the district, building and classroom levels. *Supported over 25 administrators (through coaching and regular meetings) in creating and implementing school and department communication plans through goal setting and connections with building/department school improvement plans. Project based communication plans were also implemented.*Implemented three successful bond issue campaigns that garnered support by passing at 72, 84 and 82 percent.*Created the annual "Season of Surveys" process where feedback is gathered from parents, students and employees. This feedback was analyzed and utilized to determine celebrations and opportunities for improvement with associated action steps at the district, building and departmental levels. *Oversaw district community partnerships including serving on boards like Care to Learn and the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce.*Implemented and supported communication tools at the district, building and classroom levels. These included social media accounts (14), mass notification systems, website and e-newsletters (2 district level and 8 building level).*Created and implemented all crisis communication efforts.*Coordinated all media visits and relationships.*Oversaw planning and implementation of stakeholder group meetings including our patron Key *Communicator group and monthly employee meetings with the superintendent, Mornings with Matt.*Oversaw various special events including an annual 5K, ROAR Run, with over 1000 participants, and State of the Community in partnership with our local City. *Assisted in coordinating the district CSIP (strategic planning) process through feedback gathering and meeting coordination.*Created graphic design projects needed at the district level through Photoshop and Canva.

*Coordinated areas largest one-day volunteer event, Day of Caring matching volunteers with area non-profits/schools to complete volunteer projects; hosted the coordinating kick-off breakfast which includes planning a program for 500 volunteers; implemented publicity plan and coordinated with media to promote the event. *This event was the largest in its 20 year history under my supervision completing over 220 projects for area non-profit organizations with over 1,800 volunteers. *Provided overall assistance with United Way branding and media relationship building; along with fundraising and development planning through the annual campaign by coordinating relationships with over 40 businesses which requires dynamic speaking presentations to nearly 50 groups.

*Implemented marketing efforts to gain overall support from patrons including developing a television commercial campaign, created and improved current programs which helped to achieve the public relations goals of Springfield Public Schools and acted as the district representative for community outreach projects.*Assisted in the development of partnerships for the CHOICE community school which included relationship building and resource coordination with local businesses, charitable organizations and government agencies.*Developed and marketed two new fundraising events (Support SPS Run & Community Fair and the SPS Hall of Fame) along with the Marketing Partners program. In the first year these efforts raised approximately $40,000 in new funds for the district.*Coordinated relationships with 200 local businesses and organizations for the Partners In Education program (included program development, solicitation/coordination of services and communication efforts) and managed approximately 2,000 district volunteers.

Taught integrated marketing communication strategies to two sections of junior and senior level students at Missouri State University, which included a service learning curriculum component.

Brought interest to the Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteer program through various media outlets including the implementation of social networking. Recruited over 600 volunteers for both site-based and community-based programs to mentor at-risk children in southwest Missouri. Assisted in development work to raise funds for the agency as well.

Assisted in the media planning process for client accounts in the foodservice industry (clients included Tyson, Smuckers, and other nationally known companies).
