As a Technician, I install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and coaxial network to ensure reliable and high-speed communication and cable service for customers. My expertise and skills are essential in building, maintaining critical infrastructure, Headend maintenance, providing support and help desk support for specialists, service technicians and other staff. -Roles: •Fiber Optic Technician •Cable Technician •Headend Technician >>Duties / Responsibilities: -As Fiber Optic & Cable Technician: •Diagnosing and locating equipment faults, replaced or repaired if required. •Carrying out customer Installation •Carrying out customer maintenance •Install, remove, and maintain internet equipment, wiring and another associate. •Complete transfer, installation and service reports. •Determine the nature, cause and location of the trouble. •Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. •Climb and work on poles, ladders or other support structures. •Assist with operational workflow and training. -As Headend Technician: •Install, construct and operate all equipment associated with the Cable headend and signal distribution network, including satellite dishes and receivers. •Monitor video and audio quality of services delivered on the network from receivers. •Maintain headend inventory of spare equipment. •Maintain headend equipment. •Provide guidance and assist service technicians and other staff with technical problems. •Assist or support Specialist. •Perform other duties as assigned.
