I am passionate about making processes better for the people on the manufacturing floor, if they have no time to look at the parts then your measured value is a greater amount of trouble reports and angry customers. Since 1993, I have been in the tier one automotive supply business working with Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, BMW, Toyota & Honda. The job I held at Continental-TEVES North America for 7 years is representative of my experience in accomplishing improvements to an organization. I took over the Validation Department of a German-owned company & created an efficient process flow. We accomplished a significant change & moved the Department to a more successful situation. With the use of Kaizen our team implemented over 250 quick kills in the first 4 months. Using lean manufacturing techniques, major improvements in productivity & quality were achieved. While I would not consider myself an “expert” in lean manufacturing, in the past 10 years I have been a Quality Engineer responsible for the launch 12 different projects. I pride myself in the ability to teach others in such a way that they can understand by using their own life situations to understand manufacturing processes. In my opinion, my leadership skills are transferable to most manufacturing settings. I am able to master processes quickly and I think my track record is evidence of that statement. I have within the last 2 years gain a Six Sigma Lean Green Belt Certified and Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional Certificate from the Management Strategy Institute. I continue to use my skills and professional tools to enhance processes and work environments.
