I am an engineer who has been working in the manufacturing industry for 15+ years. Mainly my work has focused on capital projects, process-related improvements, and strategic initiatives. With an Electrical-Engineering background in the manufacturing industry I’ve have become accustomed to executing these initiatives related to electrical and automation improvements.Earlier in my career I worked on many automation requests which built a strong foundation on my understanding and experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley and some Modicon), HMIs (Wonderware and AB), and Drives (AB VFDs and Servos). As I continued to expand my knowledge I started looking into best practices for internal design (I/O device recommendation, drive recommendation, communication, level sensors, etc.)Throughout my career being able to effectively communicate with my co-workers has always been my strongest attribute. Even though I haven’t had any direct supervisory experience, I’ve always been able to align my goals with the maintenance and production supervisors and accomplish tasks with local plant personnel. Being able to work alongside our production and maintenance teams for internal projects or outside contractors has never been a problem. With my experience working as a Process Engineer, this gave me experience on reliability and process issues. I still use this knowledge to influence my decision and recommendations.
