Breaking down and rebuilding various shoes and boots. Managing repair queue and retail orders. Teaching students in how to rebuild their own shoes.

Responsible for routing and delivering beer to on- and off-premise accounts in a timely fashion.

I primarily worked in a front-of-house role, serving beer behind the bar and helping to keep the space a fun, safe environment. Aside from getting my liquor server's permit, I also earned a certification as a Cicerone Beer Server. Beyond my day-to-day work in the taproom, I developed a tour program to educate the public about Optimism's brewery.

I taught people about Theo's story, company, and products. Whether assisting customers in the store or leading them on tours through our factory, I strove to share with others the greatness of organic, fair-trade chocolate making. As a member of the retail staff, I provided detailed descriptions of every Theo product on the sales floor. As a tour guide, I handled a wide variety of factory tour groups, ranging from regular public tours, to children's tours, to corporate team-building tours.

I took drink and food orders and was in charge of fulfilling those orders in an expedient manner.

I helped people get from Point A to Point B in a quick and pleasant fashion.

Gourmondo worked with Stumptown Coffee to train me in as a barista and barback, exclusively serving their coffee and working with their techniques. I prepared and served pressed sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, and a variety of breakfast and lunch items. I also received and accounted for the cafe's daily food orders, and maintained the cafe's cleanliness and presentation throughout operating hours.I was initially hired on to work for one of the cafes operated by Gourmondo inside the Amazon offices, and later was shifted to help with the opening of the company's new Interbay location. I helped to establish Gourmondo's presence and upstanding reputation in its new market, and also worked with the management team to optimize operations and presentation of the cafe.

I was part of a team of people who are "here to share an extraordinary experience that feeds the soul". I prepared all of the different varieties of drinks that Caribou has on their menu, and did so in a speedy and efficient fashion. I built comfortable, friendly relationships with the many regular customers who frequent the store. Aside from serving beverages, I made certain that all of the necessary supplies (such as cups and lids) are stocked and that the store was at an optimal level of cleanliness.In May 2013, I was promoted to the role of Shift Supervisor. In addition to my other duties, I also had to supervise one other Team Member and was responsible for verifying the contents of the safe and properly closing down the store at the end of each day.

I sold Apple products to a variety of different customers, whether they were familiar with the Apple brand or looking to get their first Mac. This was a commissioned sales position where I strived to meet the goals and expectations set for me each day. I also was responsible for the cleanliness of the store and assisted in minor troubleshooting customers needed for their Apple products.

This was a voluntary position for students attending the University of Puget Sound. I hosted shows within a couple of different genres--indie/folk, as well as ambient/instrumental. I was expected to uphold the rules and regulations of both KUPS and the FCC. My duties also included logging song information, taking listener calls, and playing requested music.

I worked both independently and as part of a team to maintain the lawns of the cemetery. My main tasks each day were to perform weed-whacking and lawn-mowing. I also assisted in watering flowers and laying out sod. Occasionally I was summoned to help in the digging or burying of graves.

I helped performing arts professionals teach theatre activities and games to children ages 4-14 in a day camp environment. Sometimes I was relegated to a TA position, other times I was sent off to teach students independently. Depending on the students' age, the emphasis of each program revolved around stimulating the imagination, creating a story and characters, and/or learning the particulars of performing arts such as singing and dancing. In addition to these primary roles, I also worked with other interns to supervise the students' lunch hour, and also performed office clerical work.

I supervised children ages 8-15 in a residential camp environment 24 hours a day. I was assigned to take care of cabins of 6-10 boys each week, interacting with them in a large group as well as one-on-one. I worked alongside one, sometimes two assistant counselors while leading camp activities such as arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing, target sports, horseback riding, and overnight camping. I was also involved in directing all-camp activities such as campfire skits and nighttime games.
