Working solo to maintain the the computer labs and printers within the management school. Often required at short notice as the work is 'on-call'. I have made a commitment to attend to a problem within 30 minutes of receiving the notification while on duty.

Live at LICA (Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts) is a combination of the Nuffield Theatre, the Peter Scott Gallery and The Lancaster International Concert Series. The duties of my role include:- Ushering customers to their seats for theatre and concert performances- Serving on the bar- Adhering to the requests of the artists- Selling tickets- Online Marketing (via social networks and blogging)- Supervising the art gallery - Liaising with local publications in order to increase our presence in the media- Organising and holding publicity events- Assisting the technical crew in the theatre- General administration tasks

Duties Included:- Operating SQL databases - Speaking with Small and Medium Enterprises - Handling objections in order to create sales leads over the telephone- Updating and cleansing data to ensure the best information is available- Receiving training to improve my sales knowledge- Hitting personal and team targets - Sustaining a professional appearance and high level of customer service on the phone - Adhering to strict data protection laws- Carrying out sales calls in-line with the clients requirements

At Connexions my role was part time and aimed to improve the services that were offered to young people. This involved consultation with young people and feeding this information back to senior managementDuties included:- Chairing a local reference group of young people to discuss, and establish limitations and benefits of services offered by the local council and connexions- Attending/Chairing a county wide meeting with other youth workers- Presenting findings to managemnet and other relevant staff- Meeting with councillors, MPs and Civil Servants to discuss local and national issues effecting young people- Organising and staging an 'event' for young people in my local area- Sitting on interview panels for perspective employees, particularly roles that involved working directly with young people- Designing and delivering conferences and workshops for professionals who may work with young people, and other government officials (such as councillors and MPs). - Sitting on boards that distributed funding to local groups and charities (the funding pots in question were 'The Youth Opportunities Fund' and 'The Community Development Fund') - Designing posters and promotional material
