-Analyzes trends of drugs usage and demands, identifies cost-saving opportunities to improve cash flow and meet budgetary goals. Orders drugs and supplies from vendor to restock inventory including controlled substances, non-scheduled, OTC medication and specific requests from patients based on preference and insurance.-Assist in preparation for inventory audit and follows waste disposal procedures, such as cycle counting medication, adjusting balance on hand (BOH), reporting any controlled substance discrepancies, and disposing expired/damaged medication for reimbursement/credit. -Identifies and resolves coding and billing issues in a timely manner, handling, Medicaid, Medicare D, private insurance, and Worker’s Compensation, reviewing proper diagnosis code for billing for Medicare Part B billing and processing insurance claims for COVID-19 vaccination and testing.-Accurately enters data from prescription, validates authenticity of prescription information with prescribers, maintains updated patient profiles, and obtains required information for proper documentation and online adjudication. Used software RxConnect for prescription billing and EPIC for medical.

-Accurately and efficiently processed 300+ prescriptions for over 100 patients daily by classifying drug, calculating proper dose, generating, and affixing labels with correct information, and packaging mediation after pharmacist verification.-Served as liaison to patients are pick-up, drop-off, and drive thru, to ring up their prescriptions, answer any questions or concerns, and follow up on patient care for future fills while adhering to HIPAA.-Handle insurance claims for medications, complies information for prior authorizations, and proactively resolving any outstanding insurance issues by communicating with the insurance and/or doctor’s office.

-Maintained inventory once a week to ensure the shelves were fully stocked, face products on shelf and helped with renovation of the store by rearranging plan-o-grams and structures of aisles. Assisted customers with their purchases by locating specific products, ringing up their purchases and providing information about the store’s hours and services.
