Born and raised in the Twin Cities, I attended college in Northfield, Minnesota at Saint Olaf College where I achieved my Bachelor’s in Computer Science. It was while studying there I began my professional journey at Allianz Life as an intern for the Application Development team.Primarily shadowing a Systems Analyst, I actively participated in the inner workings of a professional team responsible for the Variable annuity platform by performing assembly testing and documenting results. I was also the primary author on test plans and traceability matrices for said assembly test: writing descriptions, keying steps, and documenting any other related information. This invaluable experience began my development with delivery in corporate work structures and traditional waterfall methodology.My relationship with Allianz Life continued after my graduation in 2017 when I was hired by the QA department as a member of the Print team, responsible for validating .PDF output of our document generation software, Oracle’s Documaker. I was fortunate to participate in the organizational shift over my tenure, from executing only traditional waterfall projects to test batches of updates, to a Scrum, and then Kanban Agile formats. I spent the first five years of my role as a QA Analyst primarily working with the administration system for Fixed annuities and Life Insurance policies. I also branched out during this time and worked more singularly, acting as the primary QA for additional waterfall system updates including a major upgrade of Documaker itself, and several new product releases. This gave me experience in both styles of test case management, Test Plan and End of Test Report documentation, and defect management and resolution. In the latter part of my time with the Print Team, I transferred lines of business and returned to the now upgraded Variable platform, and new Kanban Agile method, as a part of Print correspondence and statement generation.I am a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong background in IT analysis, test case automation, and end to end testing. My experience at Allianz equipped me with a comprehensive skill set in Agile methodologies, communication, SQL Server, and automated scripting, while my certifications in SAFe and Scrum demonstrate my commitment to professional development and best practices in the industry. I believe my proactive and collaborative mindset, coupled with my diverse interests outside of work, reflect a well-rounded and capable professional who values both personal and professional growth.
