I’ve spent my life working in the transport industry, and it was a dream come true to establish Carter Heavy Haulage & Transport in 2013. Beginning my career as a heavy diesel mechanic with my local Kenworth dealership, I then spent years working in our family transport industry. It was then a natural next step to launch my own business.As Co-Director and a driver at Carter Heavy Haulage, I’m responsible for all aspects of the business – from client enquiries, to project management, HR, resource management, safety, and also getting out on the road to deliver for our clients. I’ve always been dedicated to the transport industry and was extremely grateful this dedication was recognised in 2018 and 2019 when I received the Road Freight NSW Professional Driver of the Year Award. We offer a broad range of logistics services including full end-to-end solutions, over-dimensional transport, heavy haulage, specialised projects and time critical services.Our modern fleet consists of brands known for their durability like Kenworth prime movers and Drake trailers. The current fleet ranges from tilt trays servicing, flat tops, b-double loads, wide range of low loaders, extendable trailers and bitumen transport.The fleet is always maintained to the highest standards and regularly checked to ensure they are in the best working condition to minimise the risk of a breakdown and delayed of delivery. Their condition is recorded ensuring our responsibility with the supply chain. Maintaining a modern fleet is important cost-effective service, producing the lowest possible fuel emissions and reducing the environmental impact.Our expectation is that our team, clients, suppliers and anyone else we interact with, will go home to their families without injury, every day.
