Korean Textile & Fabric Showcase 2014 is an event for designers, fabric buyers & sellers, textile developers, merchandisers and sourcing teams. This year’s attendees will receive exclusive access to more than 15 of the top textile and fabric suppliers from Korea and their expansive and high quality product lines.As many industry insiders are well aware already; Korean textile manufactures are highly regarded for being at the leading edge of new fabric, color and technological trends resulting in the steady demand in the U.S. market. In addition; KORUS, the recent Free Trade Agreement between Korea and the U.S. resulted in the immediate elimination of tariff / customs duties for 61% of the textile products from Korea, and this number has certainly increase in 2014 resulting in addition price competitiveness and incentives to source high quality fabric for U.S. buyers and brands. Last year’s inception of the Korean Textile & Fabric Showcase brought some surprisingly positive results. One of the major transactions that occurred from this event was with a large U.S. brand occurred without the U.S. brand and the Korean manufacturer even meeting face to face. This type of transaction; amongst several other ones, was possible due to the trust instilled to the buyers from KITA, the event, and low pressure sales environment for the buyers.
