Gained experience in Market Micro-structure, Market Research, Big Data, SQL Server Transact SQL, Advanced Analytics and various programing languages through the following activities:· I analyzed the different structures of markets around the world and corrected for these differences in the CMCRC’s market quality dashboard (MQD). This is an integrated system of programs designed to give users a visual representation of all major world markets and the equities that are traded in them, and then analyze this data through a variety of different metrics. · I learnt additional programing languages in order to code my own metrics and alerts, such as Alice (a 3rd generation language built upon c), Python, SQL, and some tidbits of SAS and R.Since I quickly gained a handle on the many different aspects of MQD. I was often given the task of both teaching and leading my fellow newer colleagues in various activities, such as how to code alerts in Python, access and manipulate data in SQL, and how the general workflow worked and why. I was only able to stay in Australia for a few months but my good work here caused me to be offered a scholarship to both work at the CMCRC and purse a master’s degree at the same time. I intend to take up this offer once I finish my undergraduate degree.

I Teach English to Chinese children of all ages. This Position is very valuable in learning the basics of how we as human's learn. I also have to present, albeit to younger audiences, for long periods of time in order to get them to understand different and often difficult ideas, I believe this is an important experience in public speaking and communication in general. Many of the lessons I am learning are directly applicable to a variety of situations. One of the most important, is that before you can teach, sell, or convince you need your audience's attention first. This takes practice and skill, and because of this job in China, I am more aware then ever of it's importance. On a different note, while I am here, I am also learning the Mandarin language and learning about the Chinese country and culture. I have to note that learning a new language whilst teaching a language has been incredibly interesting. I find myself constantly analyzing how we use different words to communicate, and how our language is different to Mandarin.

I maintained a financial law firm website that is based in Australia (I am an Australian living in the USA). This job has taught me a lot about website development, as I was involved in updating the sites Content Management System and fixing components. I was also very involved with the company’s online advertising and in its search optimization. This job has also given me experience in communicating with various internet companies (via email and phone) as well as my colleagues in Australia.
