Expanded our supplier base, tripling the number of suppliers used product development across the board from proteins, dairy, produce, bread, seasonings, etc. Chosen to key bankruptcy team that brought Taco Bueno out from bankruptcy. Renegotiated contracts with suppliers and brought in new suppliers to help create positive EBITA growth.

Responsible for the Strategic Sourcing of over $2 Billion in Food and Beverage categories across Medical, Hospitality and Restaurant industry members. Lead cross functional teams securing long term solutions which increase value and savings to members.

Providing direction and leadership to key segments in YUM Brands supply chain. This daily leadership includes the entire dairy supply for Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell. Along with overseeing a dynamic and changing produce supply chain. We interface with the needs of each brand to ensure everyday supply of product and innovative new products to keep the pipeline full. With nearly $900 MM in annual spend, these key segments require providing strategic vision/leadership to the brands and suppliers.

Direct international supply chain for clients including Marriott, Hyatt and 400 other large hospitality/education organizations. Provide customer specific product development, logistical and compliance support. Manage $250 million worth of supplier portfolios on a daily basis. Set strategies and execute risk management for raw materials and consumer product goods. Conduct request for proposals (RFP) on an annual basis resulting in cost reductions of $6.8 million while increasing revenue by $1.1 million.

Provided day-to-day oversight of two manufacturing facilities and three distribution centers in the Mid Atlantic region, generating $160M in revenue. Reported production of KPI’s, raw materials and sustainability goals. Collaborated with sales staff to ensure customer satisfaction which before belonged to multiple departments. Worked with all shifts in each department (production, sales, distribution) at five different plants to gain working knowledge of the day-to-day operations of each facility. Interacted with employees to acquire hands-on experience with equipment, products, cleaning, materials, process review, and staff leadership. Provided corporate and local management with weekly reports on progress, planned areas of study and determined new goals and schedules for traveling to each facility.

Directed a department of five employees in performing daily laboratory duties related to the cleaning of the plant, and the testing of incoming raw milk and milk being processed. Established daily SOP’s for production/lab staff which brought more accountability and structure to the departments. Partnered with regulators to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as conducted detailed quarterly inspections of the facility. Provided corporate and local plant management with daily quality results and issues/resolutions.

Served as an advanced prep team member for a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Facilitated discussions and provided information to bring locations up to speed regarding expectations. Designated local resources into specific subject fields to provide the best information for the installation team and troubleshoot potential issues prior to system implementation. Administered detailed plans for system standardization. Provided local, regional, and corporate management with detailed, up-to-date reports regarding progress, issues, and solutions.
