This has included analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research to support the development of new or existing programs, assessing grant applications, and supporting data collection and reporting.

Provided research, analysis, and administrative support for the Population Health team. This included designing and implementing a qualitative and quantitative analysis of a province-wide program which is active in 70+ communities; conducting research and creating policy recommendations to improve access to affordable housing for low-income seniors on behalf of a provincial working group made up of non-profit leaders, advocates, government officials, and other stakeholders; and conducting research, developing training and educational resources, and providing technical assistance in support of a new funding stream for programs serving high need seniors across BC.

Supported the Executive Director in day-to-day operations and planning. This included conducting research and performing environmental scans to support the development of new programs and provide recommendations to the Executive Director; participating in community engagement events such as planning tables; and assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.

Led two programs that provided over 6,000 annual support services to approximately 350 seniors who faced intersecting vulnerabilities such as poverty, isolation, and poor physical and mental health. This involved supervising a team of 1 program coordinator and 50+ volunteers, conducting ongoing monitoring and evaluation, and conducting research to identify and incorporate best practices. Also managed all aspects of the recruitment, placement, and engagement of 200+ agency volunteers.

Oversaw all aspects of the implementation and operation of the North Shore Better at Home program. This included conducting research to determine which non-medical support services were needed in the community and structuring them accordingly; building relationships with front-line healthcare workers, community-based agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate referrals and incorporate their feedback into operations; and leading all reporting, monitoring, and evaluation. During this time, the program grew to provide more than 350 vulnerable seniors with 3,500 support services - this results in the program's funding increasing their financial support by 225% over a three-year period.

Supervised the operation of a fast-paced information and referral service which relied on a team of 12 volunteers to provide information, referrals, and advocacy to more than 6,000 local seniors each year. This included creating and disseminating written materials such as information sheets, brochures, and the annual 50-page Seniors Directory; scheduling trainings for volunteers; and personally handling all difficult cases - including crisis situations such as elder abuse, homelessness or precarious housing, extreme poverty, and serious physical or mental health issues.

Provided administrative support and assistance with disaster responses. This included provided gift cards and other material support to individuals and families impacted by events like house fires; participating in community meetings during large-scale incidents; and overseeing the operation of a call centre during the 2012 Alberta floods through which those impacted registered for government aid.

Coordinated the delivery and maintenance of free medical equipment loans for low-income seniors in Richmond, North Vancouver, the Tri-Cities, and the Fraser Valley. This involved scheduling technicians, monitoring equipment stocks and scheduling repairs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Supported the development of funding proposals. This involved conducting prospect research, engaging with potential donors, and writing grant applications.
