Develop, implement and lead JetBlue’s policy advocacy strategy in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. This includes building extensive relationships with Republican and Democratic congressional leadership and committee staff as well as personal offices.Manage JetBlue’s legislative relations with state and local officials across the airline’s network of over 100 cities. Manage issues including taxes, labor regulations and trade.Build coalitions of like-minded organizations to advocate for diverse policy and regulatory initiatives.Oversee the state and local policy team and manage our external legislative consultants.Assist with PAC operations.Outreach with government agencies including DOT, FAA, DHS and Treasury on JetBlue’s policy priorities.

Managed all legislative initiatives including the congresswoman’s work before the House Armed Services Committee and the Natural Resources Committee. Worked across the aisle to successfully pass amendments restoring funding for state infrastructure as well as encourage renewable energy development on state lands. Led the office’s appropriations program and assisted state and local agencies in obtaining funding for projects and initiatives. Worked with outside groups to create and execute advocacy campaigns. Coordinated with local stakeholders and federal regulators to develop compromises on proposed energy and environmental regulations as well as proposed increases to aviation fees. Supervised and trained the congresswoman’s staff on office procedure, legislative research and congressional rules and process.

Drafted legislation, amendments, testimony and floor speeches for congressman. Assisted state agencies in securing funding for infrastructure projects and initiatives, including terminal expansion and apron repair at a state airport. Consulted with committee staff and the Congressional Budget Office on the content and cost of legislation and amendments. Coordinated with Republican office counterpart to manage Congressional Native American Caucus. Designed and implemented a new constituent mail system that doubled mail output within the first four months.

Worked on both the Microsoft and K&L Gates legal accounts. Provided legislative and regulatory research support surrounding the development and launch of Microsoft’s online health initiative.
