Working in the design team designing and manufacturing products for a variety of applications within defence, specialist vehicle, marine and aerospace sectors.Roles:- Modelled 2D/3D CAD designs using Solidworks and drafted production drawings for Formula 1 car componentry, naval deck railings and bulletproof composite panels for a new fleet of military tanks.- Liaised with production team and sales regarding design changes and revision updates of production drawings from customers. Monitored and managed through advanced excel work sheets.- Developed new procedure to increase accuracy and efficiency of design revision status and production drawing releases. This was done through setting up new procedures for drawings in AutoCAD and production file management through a shared network.- Integrated new ERP software system to existing projects, setting up structures for manufacturing orders.

During my time at Cordek I was part of the Technical Design team and was involved in many projects which were related to the construction, aerospace, marine and automotive sectors. Roles and responsibilities:- Carry out 2D/3D CAD design and advanced modelling using Solidworks, Rhino and AutoCad and draft production drawings for 3 axis and 5 axis manufacturing. - Liaise with customers, calculate costs and generate quotes within sophisticated CRM software.- Provide manufacturing solutions for unique projects that require moulds, patterns or formwork for Concrete, GRP, GRC and other composite applications.- Manage multiple projects including initial customer contact to processing payments and organising delivery schedules.

While at Airbus, my placement was divided into 2 six month placements. One was in the Research and Technology Department and the other was in the A400M Fluid Mechanical Team.Fuel R&T Roles and Responsibilities:- Researched and simulated the water and ice accumulation of the A380 fuel tanks using Matlab.- Contributed to Rolls Royce and Airbus project to calculate ice accretion and 'snow shower' effect in fuel pipes at various flow rates.- Lead and discussed the budgeting and project deliverables for Fuel Systems R&T to senior management in Hamburg.A400M Team Roles and Responsibilities:- Re-wrote Ground Test Requirements for the A400M and carried out ground testing on the aircraft.- Advised and assisted A400M senior management on rectifying leaking fuel pumps at final aircraft assembly.
