Manages New Product launches including preparing Control Plans, Process Flows, and FMEA’s. Works with outside vendors to optimize the process of new launches. In charge of production launches and PPAP documentation for various customers. Works on scrap reduction and Continuous Improvement projects with engineers and production. Works on requests for Engineering Approval for projects such as new equipment, powder changes, and different equipment for the product to be ran on. Interacts with different customers from the new product launch through production. Helps develop counter measures in product rejections and develop work instructions for different processes.

Helped develop quality standards for current and new program launches. Interacted with customers (Honda, Chrysler, and Ford) to develop preventative actions on parts out of spec or with cosmetic defects. Developed Control Plans, FMEA’s, and Process Flow for new production parts. Created Work Instructions for different processes or devices needed to be used on the plant floor. Worked on various projects to help improve or control the quality of the parts. Worked in the Honda and Ford Quality Systems to explain why a defect occurred and the preventative action to fix the problem.

Programmed new Fanuc robots and troubleshot existing Fanuc robots in production. Kept up on the maintenance of the Fanuc robots. Helped get new automation projects up and running efficiently to keep up with quality standards. Worked on different solid ratios on lube in the forging process to improve tool life and cost reduction. Worked on design changes for different tooling for Fanuc robots and all automation in the facility. Worked to help reduce cost and enhance quality in the forging department. Wrote work instructions to help quality control and robotic adjustments. Worked on different shot peening studies to help with the quality of parts.

Created working programs to run automation in Allen Bradley RSLogix. Created Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for various types of automated processes in Allen Bradley RSView and Honeywell Experion Vista. Related both the PLC and HMI programs to run the specs of the project. Helped check out PLC panels to make sure that each input and output had the correct voltage or amperage on each contact. Created AutoCAD drawings for wiring details and for the overall and specific views of different PLC panels. Interacted with different Engineers to meet the specs of each project.
