Lead Engineer for Systems and Networks. Designed and implemented most aspects of the Tk20 infrastructure. Acted as the top level escalation point for a technical operations team of twelve. Promoted to manager during January 2015.Accomplishments● Migration of all server/network infrastructure to an in­house data center.● Migration of all servers from a physical to virtualized environment. Thisincluded design and implementation of a vSphere virtualization stack. The environment is highly available with no unplanned outages in over two years.● Replaced aging network with a modern Cisco based highly available network infrastructure. This included full monitoring of every component and has resulted in no unplanned network outages in over two years.● Standardized server software configuration using Ansible for OS configuration management and proprietary application deployment across several hundred application servers. This reduced the average new application provision time from two weeks to one day along with reducing the time for a full environment code deployment from a month to two days.● Trained operations team to perform operations related tasks on the above infrastructure.● Designed and implemented a private­public hybrid cloud with AWS. TheAWS VPC is fully integrated with the private company network.

Monitored and administered 5000+ nodes in local and remote data centers running a mix of high performance game server software and mainstream IT applications. Monitored network health in the supported data centers. Passed pertinent information regarding network performance/outage problems from switches/routers combined with SNMP generated alerts to the Network Engineering team.
