• Headed three major projects involving recycling, optimizing resource usage, and identifying process inefficiencies with the goal of reducing and reusing the primary raw material for contact lens production• Performed cost-savings analysis and communicated with both internal, cross-functional teams and third-party vendor in order to recycle and reuse plastic resin used to make lenses• Designed data visualization dashboards in Tableau and delivered actionable insights on KPIs to assist in reducing the number of rejected lenses on the manufacturing line • Cleansed and synthesized over 300,000 lines of data on a weekly basis using Python and Excel in order to find correlations between line alarms, rejects, and downtime• Impacted company-wide objectives by reducing raw material usage during a time of supplier shortage, mitigating costs associated with production losses, and demonstrating environmental initiative by saving and reusing resin
