Responsible for daily production goals, overall quality, safety, prioritizing orders to be completed and shipped, keeping final count correct for shipments, and finding effective ways to keep scrap rates below 2%.I am also responsible for making sure that proper processes are locked in and up to date. I work closely with quality to process out defective parts, because we have to ensure that processes never go over cycle time.During each shift, I ensure that logistically, I have the most machines as possible running to complete orders. I train all of my employees to stay at their presses while working, to keep their presses neat and clean. Before and after each shift, I inspect and load dryers to be sure that they are full of the correct material for each machine. At the end of each shift, I check that the appropriate molds have been changed and all work instructions and tools are at the press for the next shift.

Daily responsibilities include providing production audits, doing incoming inspections for all parts used by the factory, performed first article inspections, wrote corrective action reports, read blueprints, and file audits. I work with engineers to develop new products, set tolerances and spec functions for all new parts. I have used coordinate measurement machine. Responsible for ensuring all products meet specifications, also ensured correct measurements of weld gaps, paint thickness, and metal thickness. I perform warranty analysis and report warranty information, dissect and make corrective reports for defective products. I also repair, setup, and calibrate multiple types of gauges throughout the factory or made new gauges when custom gauges were not available. I am able to perform sediment tests on parts and metals, inspected part features under microscopes and can determine metal hardness. I have been managing a line of 80 workers to ensure production quality. I also work with CNC machines to make sure parts are made to correct specs, use micrometers, depth gauges, and calipers to insure a correct batch of parts, also have other skills such as driving a tow motor, calipers, micrometers, automated systems, and computers, to name a few. I am ISO compliant. I work with other team members and alone to find root problems and find solutions to fix them long term.
