As the IT Manager for Louisiana FCU's Information Technology Service and Engineering team, I oversee a team of four professionals responsible for managing the credit union's IT operations. Working closely with the CIO, I lead the team in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of IT services, including infrastructure support and network engineering. In addition, I oversee the Service Desk, which provides first-line support to the credit union's employees. Our team is one of two parts of LA FCU's overall IT team, with the other focused on applications development and support.

As one of three administrators for the operations team in an 800-acre chemical manufacturing facility, I was primarily responsible for managing all new infrastructure projects, including access control, e-mail security, phish testing, VOIP phones, handheld devices, servers, wiring, time clocks, and security cameras. Additionally, I provided secondary support for all IT engineering, networking, and security initiatives, backing up the Senior Network Administrator, and offered Level 1/2/3 IT support for all other daily operational issues.Notable projects during my tenure include the successful completion of the river dock refit of operations (process and office) while in production due to a barge strike, a new access control infrastructure project to comply with Coast Guard regulations, vendor selection for new access control, installation of new security camera servers and applications, and a security camera project that enabled critical equipment monitoring in operating units. I also oversaw the wireless scale-up to support new warehouse management technologies, the informational displays project, and the selection of a new e-mail security and phish testing vendor, coordinating regularly scheduled phish tests along with automating difficulty scaling.As the primary support for the complete VOIP phone replacement, I managed the migration from the old PBX, and I facilitated the clean-up of old abandoned equipment and wiring in half of the company-managed data centers. I also spearheaded the complete fleet replacement of company-provided computers, including managing the recycling and secure destruction of old equipment.

As a PC Tech III for Fidelity Bank, I started as a Tier II and later transitioned to a Tier III role. My primary responsibilities were supporting the company's virtual environment using VMware and ensuring the smooth operation of the bank's IT infrastructure. One of my significant accomplishments was setting up a self-contained test environment for testing new company software before deployment. This allowed us to identify and fix issues before the software went live, ensuring a seamless upgrade process.I was part of a team of six and reported to the Network Administrator. During my tenure, the bank relocated from the central business district of New Orleans to Metairie. As a result, we had to move all the company servers and networks to the new building, which I helped manage.

As a Field Technical Support Representative IV for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, I was responsible for supporting all level two incidents in the IT department. Working with a team of 10 peers, I was the point of escalation for a level one technician who encountered complex technical issues that required additional expertise. I was also responsible for managing new hardware and software issuance, monitoring the ticketing system, tracking spare hardware inventory, and ensuring compliance with software licensing requirements. Additionally, I assisted the network administrator with simple to complex networking tasks to expand my knowledge and skills in the field.Although I was laid off due to the company's downsizing of the IT department, I returned years later as a network administrator for the new company Cornerstone Chemical. My experience in this role equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in my new position and continue to contribute to the organization's success.

As a contractor for TEKSystems at Northrop Grumman Shipyard in Avondale, LA, I worked on a 6-month project to replace all of the shipyard's Multi-Functional Printers (MFPs). In my role, I collaborated with a team of experts to remove the old devices, copy their configurations, and install new MFPs in their place. Alongside one other colleague, I was responsible for configuring the new devices, working closely with local clients to ensure they had all the necessary resources and training to use them effectively. Our team managed the entire project with a facilitator, closely tracking each set of changes and ensuring secure disposal of the old equipment. Our work helped to modernize the shipyard's printing infrastructure and improve the efficiency of its operations.I also did a couple of other roles with TEK Systems for various companies until landing the role with EDS/HP at Cytec Industries.

As a student technician at Hahnville High School, I provided IT support after school and during summer breaks, assisting the IT team with daily break/fix issues for both employees and students. In my senior year, I chose to work half my time in this role while attending classes, gaining two years of valuable IT experience upon graduation. I collaborated with the network administrator on re-imaging computer systems in classrooms, as well as managing the disposal of old equipment. Additionally, I pursued opportunities to expand my knowledge of networking, working closely with the network administrator to learn as much as possible. I also may or may not have been the Back to Back Hallway Office Chair Race Champion in 2004 and 2005 (but that's a story for another day!).
