Manufacturer of Plug-In Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems for Class 6, 7, and 8 vehicles. Odyne was a start up company that I built from four employees to a staff of twenty-five and raised $15 million in three tranches.

Siebe Power Controls (SPC) was a division of Siebe plc., a UK based engineering company. As President of SPC, I had full P&L responsibility for an international manufacturer of military and industrial products including power supplies, power semiconductors and connectors with annual sales of $650 million. In this assignment, I• Successfully integrated $400 million operation into parent company following merger.• Drove Japanese JV to $225 million in revenue and achieved Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section listing.• Orchestrated successful sale of a non-core business unit.• Completed the acquisition of a complementary business• Launched manufacturing process restructuring program at a major subsidiary resulting in 30% reduction of breakeven point and unit costs with improved customer service.• Instituted Six Sigma and lean enterprise programs resulting in improved space utilization, inventory turns and customer service

I served as a representative director of Japanese joint venture which was listed on the Tokyo Stock exchange. In 1989, Unitech plc acquired Veeco Instruments Inc. and I was appointed to the Unitech Board. I• Integrated Veeco’s power supply businesses (primarily US and Far East based) with Unitech’s units (primarily European based)• Instituted coordinated worldwide product development and marketing programs.• Installed ISO 9000 in all operations.• Managed IPO of Japanese joint venture. • Grew sales $150 million and profits 80% through organic growth and acquisitions.
