As a former educator turned software developer, my journey into the world of technology has been somewhat unconventional yet immensely rewarding. Over my 15 years in education, I've collected and polished unique, transferable skills in problem-solving, team collaboration, and leadership, as well as balancing multiple priorities, mediating complex situations, and making data-driven decisions—skills that have proven invaluable throughout this career transformation and are directly applicable to the multifaceted challenges in software development.Technical proficiency has been the cornerstone of my pivot into technology. My training in GA Tech's Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp laid a solid foundation in full-stack web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and further extended into specialized technologies. We focused on the MERN stack, encompassing MongoDB, Express, React, and Node. The diverse range of projects on my portfolio, from front-end interfaces to back-end solutions, aptly demonstrates these skills and more in action.
