An eight week environmental internship position in a company who specialise in oil pollution and environmental control, including contaminated land remediation. Key Achievements:  -Involved in a research project on current and emerging technologies for the remediation of contaminated Australian Defence sites by Aqueous Forming Firefighting Foams.  -Exposure to stakeholder engagement through attending meetings between OPEC, Queensland Maritime, and the Queensland Department of Heritage and the Environment.  -Contributing to and preparing reports relevant to works being undertaken.

This dynamic role required a high level of responsibility and adaptability as I was responsible for managing both residential and commercial pest and termite control works. Key achievements: -Stakeholder engagement with a variety of clients including property and building managers, commercial and residential real estate agents, businesses and residential clients.  -Restructure of company policies and procedures to ensure the company was operating environmentally friendly. -Regular reporting on works completed or additional works required.

A supervisor role requiring a high level of leadership and professionalism while working with team members, contractors and site supervisors. Key achievements: - Delivery of high end commercial and residential landscaping projects across Sydney and the NSW Central Coast. - Weekly reporting of project status updates to project managers, ensuring they were fully aware of any possible issues or delays that may have impacted the schedule

This position was a landscape horticulture apprentice, taking on roles in both soft and hard landscape works for large commercial developments. Key achievements:  -Learnt to work within a large team environment whilst also being exposed to various aspects of large project management throughout my apprenticeship.  -Exposed to OH&S policies and procedures from the very beginning of my apprenticeship.
