I joined Advanced Polymer Sales as an intern in May of 2020, originally hired to assist in Research and Development projects for the summer. However, I was able to take on much more responsibilities and executed tasks as an intern with a professional level of skill. Accomplishments over the summer include:Transferring the business over to Google Suite so that the company could maximize efficiency using aspects like file sharing within several applications. Creating a website for the company using google sites, taking and editing media for the website. learning how to execute advanced techniques within the laboratory with the guidance of terrific coworkers and bosses. Overcoming the scientific knowledge gap by using creative problem solving, allowing for different perspectives to be seen when trying to innovate a procedure. Pitching new ideas for the potential sales of new ground-breaking polymers. None of the above would have been possible if it wasn't for the guidance and respectfulness of my coworkers and employer in the office. I still work at APS and am taking on even more responsibility working directly with the CEO on the sales front while also continuing my work in the laboratory.
