Oversee projects ranging from safety improvements to manufacturing line improvements. Lead and assist in writing appropriation requests for these projects which deals with justification for project, short/long term analysis of cash flow, and ROI. Additionally, led a project that standardized the operator training system for all operator positions within the plant. Experience with AutoCad for design purposes and process flow diagrams.

Worked alongside process engineer to assist in conducting line trials for raw materials in order to improve overall product quality. Also standardized gauge system for testing product quality within Quality department.

A split role between Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering. On the Quality side, I lead and assist with candle performance and improvement projects which involves heavy analysis in Excel and Minitab. On the ME side, I assist with fragrance evaluations, along with helping to standardize certain manufacturing procedures within third party fillers and fragrance suppliers.

I spent a total of 3 semesters interning in the Quality Control department. There, I assisted metallurgists and managers with various projects to help improve the overall quality of steel. Worked heavily on the aluminized steel product. The overall goal was to reduce the amount of defects seen, with primary focus on defects that caused the most customer claims (customer complaints that steel doesn't meet specific specification). Spent a good deal of time in Excel and Access.
