- Wrote and implemented the quality management plan for the Jackpot Rewards back-end platform. Back-end components include a distributed database system, JGroups messaging, payment processing, content search, classifieds, sweepstakes, account allocation, email, and a back-end services API. - Developed a suite of automated tests in Java to fully exercise the back-end services API. These tests are run as part of the release process and throughout the SDLC through continuous integration.- Led the quality management effort for ongoing functional improvements to the back-end platform. - Created a sweepstakes auditing program to aid in manual validation of sweepstakes results- Introduced a suite of performance tests and reports using SilkPerformer. - Created custom SQL reports for the Trac bug tracking system as needed.- Hired and managed a team of 3 QA engineers- Provided the Vice President of Engineering with weekly schedule and quality metrics inputs.- Participated in weekly change management board meetings.

- Led the quality management effort on customer implementations of the Allurent rich commerce suite. Activities included formulating test plans, obtaining and managing contract resources, creating and maintaining project test schedules, hands on testing, and quality sign-off.- Led the quality management effort on a new social networking site focusing on movies, music, and video games from the design stage to public beta. - Formalized the Services Quality Lifecycle process and participated in the creation of a formal Services SDLC.- Provided the Director of Quality Assurance with budget, schedule, and quality metrics inputs.

- Directly managed 9+ QA staff including employees, onshore consultants and offshore consultants.- Hired and directed the activities of offshore QA resources. This included intensive training programs and closely monitoring assignments to ensure that project deliveries maintained the expected level of quality.- Formalized QC lifecycle processes and standardized QC templates in order to facilitate the reuse of test cases and decrease the amount of effort needed to incorporate manual test cases into the automated test suite.- Introduced formal automation processes using SilkTest to achieve comprehensive regression test coverage. Also introduced automated smoke tests as the gate for accepting daily code turnovers.- Introduced formal performance testing processes using SilkPerformer to assess system capacity and application performance. Tests were run daily for ongoing initiatives as well as for each release to draw patterns of performance improvements/degradation.
