The MBREDC team also secured over $2 million in grants and other funding to develop and improve new industrial sites and parks to allow for the continued recruitment and retention of high-quality businesses and industries.

Assisted the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, wholesale customers, and Santee Cooper direct-served territories with recruiting business and industry within their respective territories. Also assisted local entities with product development activities, including industrial park development, infrastructure improvements, and speculative building construction.During my tenure with Santee Cooper, I created and managed a product development initiative that assisted local communities and electric cooperatives with various economic development products, including improving and/or creating industrial parks, site, and speculative buildings. I was also honored to be a part of recruiting over 8,000 jobs and $1 billion in private capital investment to the State of South Carolina, including being a member of the lead recruitment team for Volvo Cars' first US manufacturing facility.

Served as the CEO of the city, overseeing the operations of an organization with 250+ employees and an annual operating budget of $75 million. The City of Washington provided electric, water, sewer, and sanitation services to customers in and out of the corporate limits. Other city services included police and fire services, community development, recreation, public works, and various administrative functions. The City also provided additional opportunities and services along the Pamlico River waterfront and at the City-owned and operated airport.

Appointed by the Mayor and City Council, I served as the CEO of the City of Clinton with an annual operating budget of $25 million and 100 full time employees. Operations of the city included Public Utilities (Water, Sewer, & Electric services), Public Safety (Police & Fire), Building Inspections, Planning, Zoning, Finance, and Economic Development.

As the Assistant City Manager, I directly oversaw the Building Inspections, Zoning, Planning, Code Enforcement, and Community Development divisions. I managed all grant and major projects and worked collaboratively with the City Manager in all city-wide economic development activities.
