Josh Lane is a professional musician, drummer, teacher and business owner in Toronto. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Humber College in 2009. At Humber, Josh had the privilege to study with some of the top talent in the country. Over the past few years, Josh has had the opportunity to perform with many extremely talented artists. In his last year at Humber College he had the pleasure of performing with Tenor Saxophone Giant Chris Potter.Some of Josh’s most exciting and rewarding professional experience’s include: - Performing throughout Asia with a Humber College Alumni Jazz Quintet - A 6 week Cruise Ship Contract performing with musical group Trio Des Iles. The ship sailed throughout the Mediterranean - Performing for the Olympic Lighting of the Torch Ceremony- Touring across Canada with Hip Hop band Northstar- Playing as part of the pit band for the musical production BARE- Touring across North America multiple times with award winning pop/rock artist Zameer- Performing with Ariana Savalas from Post Modern Jukebox for Charity Event- Performed with Toronto Jazz Collective at Markham Downtown Jazz FestivalJosh runs his own live music entertainment company called Toronto Jazz Collective. In May of 2008 he was part of the “Jazz in the Schools” program run by Humber College. The ensemble performed two clinics per day at schools across the GTA. The goal of the program was to educate children on the history of jazz music.
