I'm at Balance, Canada's largest digital asset custodian, to build a fairer financial system. Balance successfully serves crypto exchanges, OTC and prop. trading desks, neobanks, ATM networks, private funds, market makers, liquidity providers, and foundation treasuries.Previously, I worked with Inkblot to help scale them at the start of the pandemic to integrating them with GreenShield post-acquisition. Inkblot Therapy provides effective, affordable care within minutes. Mental health support doesn’t have to be expensive, intimidating, or impossible to access. It's Inkblot's mission to provide you with the most effective care. At Balance after the Techstars Toronto Accelerator program, I joined to help realize the vision of providing the safest way to custody, trade, and manage digital assets. At Flinks, I was enabling and pioneering Open Banking in Canada by partnering and collaborating with everyone from FinTechs, Fortune 500 companies, and financial institutions to leverage technology and financial data to make financial services more competitive, innovative, and caring for all Canadians. I honed my competencies as a Digital Marketer in the fashion realm at Naked & Famous Denim, a Canadian clothing company specializing in Japanese raw denim, and launching my own company, wool + suede, before seeing the opportunity to pivot and join the disruptive forces of Bitcoin, Digital Assets, FinTech and Open Banking.

Director Of OperationsBalance Mar 2022 - PresentToronto, Ontario, CanadaBalance is Canada's largest digital asset custodian. Our solution powers financial services companies such as over-the-counter trading desks, exchanges, lenders, and ATM networks. The assets are kept secure on specialized hardware, kept fully offline in geographically distributed bank-grade vaults that are access controlled, monitored, and guarded 24/7. Our internal controls and policies mitigate against external threats, human error, and misuse through insider access, and have been designed with disaster recovery and succession planning in mind. Furthermore, the assets in both offline and online storage are insured. Keeping these assets safe is only one piece of the puzzle. We aim to provide end-to-end services to our clients, such as access to deep liquidity, a regulated fiat gateway, regular third-party audits on the effectiveness of our security controls, as well as comprehensive insurance on the assets. -
Operations Manager (Acquired By Green Shield Canada)Inkblot Therapy Oct 2021 - Feb 2022Toronto, Ontario, CanadaMy role broadly covered anything that helps Inkblot to scale, increase efficiencies, and improves privacy and security. A spiritual successor to my role at Techstars as a Business Associate where I joined the team early in the pandemic to weather the storm of 10-20x demand and funnel it towards scaling the team and building efficiencies as we were aiming to raise a Series A round. My addition to Inkblot eventually saw me sit on the Senior Leadership Team in the months leading up to the acquisition by Green Shield Canada. My role eventually evolved to an Operations focused role as we scaled the team from 23 (when I joined) to 80+ people in a quick 2-year time span and our service grew to reach millions of Canadians. My Operations role ebbed and flowed from Business and Operations Strategy, System Administrator, IT Help Desk, Procurement, and Office Manager. -
