The City of Coppell Assistant Director of Enterprise Solutions is responsible for helping with planning, organizing and managing the Enterprise Solutions Department. Oversees all aspects of the delivery of information systems technology and related support functions to each division and department within the City. Supervises ES departmental personnel including employee selection, employee development, work assignments, evaluating performance and guiding staff toward goal accomplishments. Develops and oversees the implementation of new systems, policies, and procedures; continually evaluating appropriate methods for effective and efficient technology services. Provides overall management, planning, and coordination for technology operations and projects; coordinates work completed in the areas of network and telephone infrastructure, computer operations, enterprise and individual applications, dispatch systems, radio services, and general technology.

Responsible for supporting all applications within the City of Plano. Managing two separate divisions between Public Safety Support, and Enterprise Applications. Very much like my prior title and responsibilities, but took on supporting more applications like Laserfiche, SharePoint, Polaris, Envisionware, Trakit, etc. under our support team.

Manage the Enterprise Applications Systems and Public Safety Systems Support divisions which consists of thirteen team members. This includes the Strategic Technology & Special Projects Manager, Public Safety Systems Support Supervisor, and the Enterprise Applications Supervisor. The Enterprise Applications Systems division supports the PeopleSoft Enterprise, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERPs, Tyler Technologies Incode, and several other various applications. Manage the Public Safety Systems Support division which are responsible for supporting the Police, Fire, Public Safety Communications (PSC), and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) departments and all the applications used by the four departments as well as the mobile device computers (MDC’s) used by Police.

Manage the Financial Systems Administration department, which is in charge of maintaining the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP system. That system currently houses the financial data of the City of Plano and utilizes the following modules: Foundation, Address Book, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Inventory, Sales Order and Budget. Responsible for all aspects of the JD Edwards system, including administration, development, security, project management of upgrades, manage project-related activities of outside vendors, both for hardware and software. Supervise, hire, train and evaluate performance of the personnel within the department and prepare the departmental budget. Ensures compliance of system access for internal and external audits by creating policies and implementing proper controls.

Provided technical support for the Configurable Network Computing environment (Deployment Server, Citrix Server Environment, AS/400, DB2) for the JD Edwards One World system. Recommended, planned and installed appropriate software upgrades and assembled, built and deployed package builds for our three-tiered environment. Administered and controlled access to the One World system by authorized personnel. Installed One World and related software to the user-based community and provided support to all users. Provided system performance tuning, database tuning, and application security. Performed object configuration manager (OCM) mappings and applied electronic software updates (ESUs) and application software updates (ASUs) as required. Provided support for Risk Management’s Riskmaster software package including Citrix support and implemented the banking module for check printing within Riskmaster. Programmed and supported various live web applications including Citystore, CityAuction and Finance Intranet, using ASP, Javascript, HTML, SQL and Access.
