Engineers Without Borders - FSU is a university chapter of the nonprofit humanitarian organization, Engineers Without Borders- USA (EWB-USA), established to support community-driven development programs worldwide through partnerships that design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences that enrich global perspectives and create responsible leaders.During the time I have been involved with EWB, I have progressed from a general member to the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluating, and Learning Lead, to the Vice President for the 2014 academic year. • Awarded 2013 scholarship to Engineers Without Borders Southeast RegionalConference in Atlanta, Georgia.• Co-authored EWB project deliverables that were reviewed and approved by EWB-USA to allow our chapter to travel and to proceed with our project.• Traveled to Panama for an official EWB assessment trip, during which I interacted with the indigenous community and helped create a plan of action for a for a development project involving providing access to clean water to be implemented in 2014.• Co-authored grant proposals through FSU Student Government to secure around $600 for each student to travel to Panama.• Plan and host bi-weekly general body meetings in Fall 2014.
