I worked for the Oil and Gas division at Camco as a rope access L3 supervisor. Camco specializes in service and maintenance of Marine Loading Arms for Liquid Nature Gas (LNG) industry throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea. I was in charge of the set up and breakdown of the rope access and fall arrest systems as well as supervision rope access mechanical fitters. I also participated in rigging for hydraulic cylinder replacements and as well as held work permits.

I was hired to supervise NDT and boilermaker rope access technicians during a month long shutdown at the Liddell Coal Power Station, Muswellbrook NSW. We inspected replaced and repaired bin liners as well as ducting support hangers for the boilers main exhaust vents. I was in charge of maintaining the IRATA membership compliance measures including SWMS, rescue plans, gear inspection and client relations.

I worked on several different types of mining shutdowns and geo-technical sites throughout Australia. From the local Sydney area train lines to remote mining sites in Western Australia. I took part in primarily slope stabilization which included scaling, geo-meshing, off-siding and rope system set ups. During mining shutdowns I would be the rigger teamed up with a boilermaker during bin liner charge outs as well as various works throughout the plant. I also would supplement any downtime with working at the Sydney based warehouse helping with the demobilization of rope access gear and working with mechanics repairing pneumatic drills to sweeping the shop floors.
