Growing up, I spent a considerable amount exploring the endless depths of the internet. Like almost everyone else my age, this included spending hundreds of hours on video games. Over time, this pure source of entertainment grew into a curiosity of what I could create and how to go about doing it. When I discovered Roblox, an online game platform and game creation system, I was able to take this thinking to a larger scale. Over time, I started learning more complex concepts and software as necessary and naturally developed valuable leadership and project management skills. This allowed me to begin to create fully realized video games which, in some cases, would start to find significant success. After a number of other projects, this came to a peak when a game that I co-created ended up boasting hundreds of concurrent players, millions of total plays, and saw significant global engagement on other outlets such as YouTube. This solidified my interest in pursuing programming as a career, leading to a Java class in high school and eventually following it through to college. As a student at Washington State University, I've been able to expand my skill set and gain notable experience in web development. My coursework has allowed me to expand my knowledge to languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C, C#, and C++, as well as gain additional experience with tools like GitHub. As I continue my education and pursue opportunities, I am excited to continue this journey as I learn more and pursue additional exciting software development opportunities in the future.
