My interest in sport business began in the early 2010s when far too many Scottish football clubs were going through financial problems and governance scandals. I realised there’s nothing quite like it!Since then I have published 25+ peer-reviewed research papers, chapters and books on different aspects of sport business and governance. I collaborate with sport organisations all over the world, although my main focus has been in the UK, Australia and India. It's the international research projects that I'm most excited to work on.Based in Melbourne now, I'm Co-Director of Deakin University's Master of Business (Sport Management) program. My modules are informed by the insights and experiences of hundreds of senior leaders in the sport industry I've been lucky enough to work with and conduct research with over the years.
