I focus on building rapport and strong relationships with my clients and team, as I am a firm believer that strong relationships within a project team is a critical predictor of project success. A strong team will rise to the challenges projects present. I see project management as firstly understanding a client’s key objectives for the project and then combining relationship management with risk management to deliver on those objectives in the most clear, concise and appropriate way possible. While time, cost and quality are the recognised holy trinity of project management, I believe that keeping value at the forefront of the mind, and what it will mean for the client on each project, is the key to balancing these three factors and encourages the team in driving innovation on a project. Conducting myself in this manner has enabled me to successfully deliver a range of projects from small refurbishments and sub-divisions to multi-million dollar new buildings.
