Making easy-to-follow procedure forms for customers to follow to allow them setup their equipment, whilst following all Health & Safety procedures. Making sure every terminal build/customer build is up to date before despatch, e.g. Windows updates, ICRTouch updates. Onsite repairs meeting all SLA’s and using the correct paperwork to track serial numbers and make notes of the work completed. Using ACT! (CRM software) to keep track of calls/customer details/meetings. Responsibility of the warehouse when my line manager isn’t at work, making sure all hardware is despatched correctly. Fault diagnosis with RMA’s, and then following the correct escalation procedures to get the hardware fixed and returned as soon as possible. -
Maintenance Assistant / Junior ItCranford House School Jul 2013 - Dec 2013Moulsfordo I started work at Cranford House as a Maintenance assistant to help with the numerous projects the school had planned over the summer holidays. This involved many manual handling tasks to help the school relocate its Nursery School and Art department to new premises. During these projects I was left to use my own initiative and my own time management skills to complete these tasks.o I then worked as a Junior IT Technician to assist the Network Director with his summer holiday projects. This role involved the following tasks – Unboxing new desktop and laptop computers. Recording serial numbers and details on an Asset Database. Imaging new machines using Acronis software. Naming machines and joining them to a Windows Active Directory Domain. Final configuration against a written specification. Installing computers onto workstations or laptop trollies. General maintenance and cleaning of AV Equipment. Cleaning and calibration of interactive whiteboards. o The school then asked me to stay on as a temporary maintenance assistant to cover a maintenance assistant who was on medical leave. In this role I have been involved in the following tasks – Collecting all recyclable rubbish and sorting into the appropriate bins. Clearing all playground areas, using the appropriate mechanical equipment, whilst using the correct PPE and observing the correct Health and Safety procedures. Escorting external visitors around site while they carry out maintenance on fire alarms and other systems. Assist with the setting out of chairs and rack seating for various school events. Assist with setting out of sports equipment for sports events. Assist with general maintenance tasks such as installing shelves and worktops and painting. Delivery of goods to the correct department when they arrive on site.
