I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Canterbury, majoring in Economics and minoring in Accounting. I am also working toward a Diploma of History alongside this degree. I am passionate about Economics as it explores the way people respond to incentives, which interests me greatly. I have enjoyed learning about how economic policy can shape society and exploring how individuals and governments make decisions based on what they believe is best. Accounting has given me practical knowledge and skills for entering into the business world, and History has allowed me to practice researching, critiquing and presenting data to make arguments and solve problems. Throughout my time studying I have also been heavily involved in working with young people. I have been employed at Christchurch Boys High School as a youth worker and volunteered at my church's youth group, both since 2019. I think young people are awesome, and it has been a privilege to work and serve in positions that can help them thrive, even in small ways.I am available to start work in January 2025, and look forward to beginning the next phase of my life as I step into my career.Contact me: joshpaul1108@gmail.com
