Worked in various roles for General Products Company, manufacturers of Benchmark residential and commercial steel door and frame systems, in Fredericksburg, VA upon college graduation. Over the course of 12 years worked as an Industrial Engineer, educated through company sponsored training at the NC State School of Engineering. Moved from IE to becoming the company's Technical Representative, working with customers to setup their shops, and trouble shoot issues in their door fabrication operations, as well as managing and setting up all company trade shows nationally.Entered into sales at Benchmark as a National Accounts Representative, specifically servicing the Hechinger account, and supporting the business at the corporate and store level across their footprint, from NC to NY. After 1-1/2 years in this role, was promoted to Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Benchmark, covering 12-1/2 states. Spent 8-1/2 years in this position, and left the region with a 240% increase in business over that time frame.Started Mid-Atlantic Millwork in September of 1996, and over time we have grown into a 5 person sales and marketing agency covering the majority of the east coast (Atlanta to Maine) for a select group of millwork and building products manufacturers. Our core products and relationships span the entire 20 years we have been in operation, and we work throughout the industry distribution channel. We start with our direct customers, who are wholesale (to lumber dealers) and one-step (to larger production builders) distributors of value added millwork products. We then work downstream, educating our direct customer's sales teams, as well as with architects, designers, builders, remodelers and specifiers to help position our products and customers for sales success.
