I am a general all-rounder who loves to learn and work hard.I have gained experience in a high pressure, busy environment with my 16 plus years in various warehouse roles where I developed an excellent understanding of health and safety regulations. These roles were also physically demanding as I was helping to load equipment onto vehicles on a daily basis. It was also here that I built upon my social skills both within the team (and across departments) and also when serving customers.Spending more than 7 years in the hospitality sector in various roles has provided me with a greater understanding of all the tasks involved. My various duties included: washing dishes, preparing and serving meals, tending the bar and also reception duties. On occasion I was also expected to undertake housekeeping duties, including changing sheets and cleaning bathrooms. These experiences both customer-facing and behind the scenes means I have developed excellent communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with both members of the public and a team.Through my experience working in kitchens, and as a chef on more than one occasion, I have developed a good understanding of working independently and under pressure. This has also given me an excellent knowledge of food hygiene practice.I welcome new challenges and I’m always keen to learn and develop my skills.
