Brought on board to manage daily operations of IT support including helpdesk, networking and infrastructure, telecommunications, and both physical and logical security systems. Through automation of processes, virtualization of systems, and consolidation of services, created an IT offering that was cost-effective and scalable. One of the key accomplishments was to establish an automated provisioning process to create Active Directory user accounts by using information from a feed with the Human Resources information system. Using that same HR information, developed and maintained a standard, role-based access system to define security and equipment needs based off job title. Lead efforts to convert an environment that had 30 servers, 100% were physical hardware, to an environment that was 75% virtualized while growing total number of servers 65. In addition, deployed a centrally managed WiFi system to all facilities, replacing legacy, site-based WLANs and offering segmented WLAN for public use. Lastly, developed and executed plan to consolidate disparate VoIP and Analog PBX systems throughout all locations to one, central PBX, enabling site-to-site voice communication over the enterprise network.

Worked on a small team of consultants to provide IT support to a diverse set of clients in the Saint Louis, Mo area. Support included basic user and workstation management, networking, and server maintenance. Projects included new network and active directory setup, exchange migrations, and various server product installs including Microsoft SQL, Sharepoint, Backup Exec, and Microsoft System Center. During this time, responsible implementing a central repository for documentation.

Provided IT support at Sisters of Mercy, a large health care system in the Midwest. Created and managed active directory security groups and user accounts for 40,000 employees across multiple states. Deployed software to workstations through application packages created in Microsoft SMS and assisted with a massive domain migration project to consolidate multiple domains into a new, primary domain.
