Program conversions ranging from Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, and Siemens for new traceability and MES systems. Implementation of a various range of devices. Configuration of Kepware and Cimplicity software for communication throughout facility zones. Help troubleshoot, correct, and redesign previous system issues.

Lead Controls Engineer for Incoming project build working with all departments from Process Engineering to Purchasing in gathering the information and specifications required to accomplish a successful launch of new product. New equipment installation and integration of Allen Bradley PLC’s ( controllogix, compactlogix, micrologix ), HMI new configurations and modifications to ( Panelview ) with AB studio, Atlas Copco torque tools and software, Zebra barcode scanners and printers, RFID badge readers, Turck, Banner, and Keyence devices. Complete restructure of data collection and monitoring through AB PLC and MES system modification along with plant network layout infrastructure. Upkeep and revamp of older existing systems.

New equipment installation and integration. Omron PLC and vision system modifications. Process improvements included Mitsubishi and Yamaha robot program changes along with Omron PLC logic changes to reduce movement and speed up cycle time that shaved 1.2 seconds off product manufacturing time. Also built a program that logged servo data through excel that would trend motor torque and predict when schedueled maintenance was needed and up to a failing component that needed to be replaced without an unexpected downtime scenario.

Designed, Fabricated and implemented process improvements. These projects that I have lead included a Quality check system that reduced the amount of metal contaminates in the final product by over 50% and the creation of extruder screw profile change equipment that reduced rebuild time by 40%. AC and DC drive replacements for 400hp, 800hp, and 1000hp motors. Completion of drive training for Control Techniques drives. Veco Plan shredder and grinder system rebuilds and installation. Centrifuge system training and rebuild for main drive and back drive components. Una-Dyn vacuum systems and blower transfer systems. Donaldson Torit dust collector systems set up and Maintenance. Responsibilities also included quality lab equipment repairs, Demag injection mold machine repair and PM's, and Vendor communication and spare parts orders and restock.

Involved with several projects when the plant was at full staff. These projects included the design and fabrication of more ergonomically friendly machinery for the production team members. An example would be a design where the work station could be adjusted through control circuits which drove servos to move the station to comfortable operating position according to the persons preference. This project was implemented in several areas of the plant and significantly reduced fatigue in our production workforce.
