Videvo is a growing stock footage website that is a part of the Freepik Group of stock media brands. As Senior Video Editor my time is mostly spent cutting, color grading, and rendering stock video clips to the highest standard using Davinci Resolve software, as well creating videos for Videvo and Freepik's social media channels and quarterly/annual content roundups for internal communications. I also make animated motion graphics, work with new, cutting edge, generative AI tools to create unique stock clips, and also instruct junior team members in the post production process and review their work when needed. I also manage the media storage, ensuring that all raw media, project files, and rendered video clips are stored and backed-up correctly onto physical hard drives, which are in turn being safely stored both on and off site.Since starting this role I have implemented a new post-production process; changing our go-to video editing software from Adobe Premiere Pro to Davinci Resolve for its expanded range of colour grading and compositing tools, along with a more efficient workflow for stock video editing.

My main focus in this role was adapting video and static image files from their original format into 4x5, 9x16 and 1x1 versions for different social channels, as well as editing them for use in different international markets, while being based onsite at Dyson’s expansive Malmesbury campus. I also carried out creative video edits when required by the client.

As part of a team of editors I cut videos and created animated motion graphics for a wide range of clients of all sizes and functions, from small local businesses to national and multinational businesses and charities, including big names such as Ticketmaster, Unilever and the NHS, as well as awards shows and live-streaming events. I also produced company assets such as showreels, paid YouTube ads and social media videos.

A newly created role within the business, it was my responsibility to produce, film and edit engaging external content for Saint-Gobain’s social media channels and website, as well as internal communications video content (business updates, internal campaign videos, how to’s etc) for the 36 Saint-Gobain brands based in the UK & Ireland such as Jewson and British Gypsum. Content was varied, from live action video and motion graphics to photographs and animated gifs, and covered a number of subjects such as technical innovations, charity partnerships and careers opportunities within the business.

As a member of the marketing and communications team I was responsible for taking all marketing and training video content from the concept stages through to shooting, editing and completion. Content of these videos included interviews, live training demonstrations, cooking competitions and large scale awards events to name a few. My other responsibilities included those of a photographer and creative designer, writing copy for and designing posters, leaflets, email communications and the quarterly internal newsletter publication.
