Saw clients in therapy, and had a case load of 8 each week. Utilized CBT and Experiential therapy. Clients consisted of couples, families, and individuals with a number of presenting issues, such as depression, marital problems, family struggles with their adolescent children and many others. Co-facilitated intensive outpatient groups for adult substance abusers. The group ran 3 times a week for 3 hours.Conducted a didactic group on relapse prevention skills for adults. Assisted in running a recovery skills group, by teaching didactic portions of the group. Worked in the front office assisting new clients, by handling their paperwork and scheduling their individual appointments with their therapists.

Mentored 16 teenage girls each week, with behavioral problems, history of substance abuse, and learning disorders.Supervised a shift of four employees on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and held weekly shift meetings.Met with therapists and administrators weekly to discuss treatment of each individual client.Attended to crisis situations with the girls, such as becoming suicidal or attempting to run away. Helped girls calm down and process their thoughts and feelings. Participated in restraining holds when necessary using the MANDT or PCS systems. I have been certified in bothTrained new mentors by teaching them their responsibilities while on shift. Also did weekly trainings with my shift.
