Experienced in the rebuilding of high vacuum systems. Machine Shop Experience with 2.5 axis milling machine, Lathe, and other common shop equipment. Also acted as department mechanical engineer. Designed and built several tools and machines to reduce downtime and radiation exposure to personnel. Designed and built upgrades for hot cell manipulator arms and process tools for the chemistry department. Also designed and built internal mechanical components for the J.L. Shepard Gamma Sterilizer.Job Description (Supervisory): Supervised the operation and repair of a Pod (group of four) Cyclotrons and technicians for six years. Annual Pod output was over 7700Ci of Palladium 103 with 97% up time. The training of new technicians, ensuring all had the knowledge needed to safely perform the duties assigned to them. Maintained programs and documentation necessary for ISO9000, OSHA, FDA and GA DNR audits and inspections. Other Supervisory duties include, ALARA radiation dose management, overtime management, on call scheduling and calibration and repair scheduling.
