Creating tour plans then working closely with service centre teams and senior management to drive efficiency within Yodel’s last mile operation, creating reports to understand where there are areas for improvement and opportunities to achieve a lower cost per delivery parcel within the employed and self-employed workforce.

Planning the most optimal and efficient delivery areas for our employed and self-employed workforce with the goal of achieving the optimal delivery cost per pack and driving employed productivity whilst monitoring and managing continuous improvement within the service centres.

Planning optimal areas (Tours) for the employed and self-employed workforce within Yodel. This involved working closely with depot management team to come up with the optimal and most efficient plan to deliver parcels with lowest cost and great service.

Parcel Delivery

I had the opportunity to take a secondment within DHL’s project team to roll out the sign on screen technology within the UK domestics operation, customers had previously signed for deliveries on paperwork. The project allowed customers to see real time updates of signatures and allow better tracking of their parcels whist giving DHL a better view of driver’s activities whilst out on the road. The role heavily involved on-site support and training of both drivers and depot staff, whilst updating and testing the hardware/software.
