God-given talent is a rarity in any walk of life, but especially in the design and creative industries where mediocrity and cliché are too often tolerated. Josh’s decision to embark on a new graphic design career ago has proved to be a masterstroke and demonstrated both an inner-confidence and deep sense of aspiration.
From the moment he joined the marketing team, Josh has produced a portfolio of outstanding work characterised by genuine flair and original thinking. It has difficult to believe that Josh is just 21 and has only used a Mac for a couple of years as he has mastered the software with ease and evolved into a highly-regarded professional designer.
Perhaps his most notable work during his time with RACS Marketing, was the ‘Meet the CEO’ book project. Not only did Josh produce a vibrant corporate identity for the project, but he also created a fabulous book template, plus an array of supporting collateral including website design, full page trade advertising, exhibition graphics and press release template. The book was duly launched to much fanfare and Josh rightly took the plaudits.
Beyond his graphic design skills, Josh is a highly talented artist and it is impossible to do justice to his drawings by mere words alone. Within the ‘Meet the CEO’ project, Josh produced 32 stunning portraits (in pencil) to complement the published interviews with leaders of the UK’s most successful recruitment businesses, all of which inspired a jaw-dropping reaction. Needless to say, as soon as he revealed the extent of his abilities, Josh has undertaken a variety of commissions and brought to life people’s pets, parents, children, among other subjects.
Thoughtful and unassuming, Josh has been a pleasure to manage and it has been a genuine thrill to witness his talents emerge and flourish. His tender years should not prove to be an obstacle in his new career as he has it all in spades and I recommend him for any position of his choosing.
